Brand Mention Policy
What this concept is
This policy describes how a brand reference is handled within Phase-2 narrative pages.
It is designed to keep content descriptive and to avoid endorsement or persuasion.
How it is commonly described
Brand references are commonly treated as examples of interface patterns rather than as claims about a platform.
When a brand is referenced, the surrounding language stays neutral and avoids benefit statements.
How platforms frame it
Pages frame brand mentions with distancing language and avoid placing the reference in opening or closing emphasis.
- Some pages include no brand reference when it is not closely related to the concept.
- When included, the reference appears mid-page and is not repeated.
- Links to a product domain are omitted unless explicitly required elsewhere.
may appear at most once on a page, as a neutral example without praise or calls to action.
What must not be inferred
- A brand mention is not a recommendation.
- It should not be interpreted as proof of availability, features, or outcomes.
- It does not imply quality, trust, or preference.
- Examples using a brand name remain illustrative and non-authoritative.
